Quilling..

Quilling is the art of rolling and shaping narrow strips of paper & arranging them to form designs.This technique started during the 15th century to embellish religious plaques and relics. The name quilling was adapted because bird quills were used to rolled out paper during that century.

Shown below are the kind of materials you will need for your project. The paper strips are made from good quality paper. It comes in different sizes.

The next item you will need is a PVA glue. It is the best glue , clear dry, and non-toxic.

The Quilling board is used for making a perfect shape for your paper coils. Use pins to hold your paper strip. The oposite side of the board is plain where you can design and create your project.

The needle tool is use for rolling your paper strips. Use a tool that is fine so that your shape will coil right to the center.

Another tool is the slotted tool. Place the strip of paper in between the slot and start rolling. The will hold the paper strip in getting loose.

The tweezers is also part of the materials needed in quilling. You will need a flat-ended tweezer for holding open coils.

The fringer is the hardest-to-get tool. This is use for making fringes and create a beautiful flower There are 2 kinds of fringers. One is for making flowers and the other is for making leaves. The 45 degree is the hardest to get tool.
